 The Mobile Notary Travel Convenience Fee starts at $40 for the 78645 area.

Fee for remaining areas is calculated by mileage from 78645

All services (except online notarization) delivered by Hill Country Mobile Notary LLC will incur a travel charge, which is separate from Texas Notary Fees. 

Texas Notary Public Fees

Texas Government Code § 406.024 sets out the standard fees a Notary Public may charge for notary public services. In addition, § 406.111 sets out the fee of an online notarization.

Acknowledgment / Proof of Acknowledgement – First signature – $6.00; Each additional signature on same document – $1.00  
An Acknowledgement / Proof of Acknowledgement is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, and formerly declared to the notary that the signer willingly signed the document for its intended purpose.

Jurat – Verification – Oath/Affirmation  (includes oath or affirmation)       $6.00
A Jurat is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary with an unsigned document, was identified by the notary, was put under sworn oath or affirmation to attest the statements in the document were true, then signed the document is the presence of the notary.

A Verification is a certification that a signer personally appeared before the notary, was identified by the notary, acknowledged signing the document, was put under sworn oath or affirmation and verified the statements in the document were true.

Oath-Affirmation – Witness/Deponent in a Deposition $6.00
The witness/deponent personally appears before the notary and is identified by the notary. The notary administers an oath or affirmation to the witness/deponent, including completion of the notarial certificate and seal.

Certified Copy of Non-Recordable Document – per certificate $6.00
A Certified Copy of a Non-Recordable Document is a certification that a document was presented to the notary by the document’s custodian, was photocopied by the notary, and is a true, exact, complete and unaltered copy. The document is neither a public record nor a publicly recordable document.

All Other Notarial Acts – not otherwise provided for $6.00
Performing any other notarial act or completing a certificate and seal not otherwise provided for under Texas Government Code § 406.024.

Travel / Time Charges

Travel / Time charges are not statutory fees and are listed separately from Texas Notary Fees. 

Standard Mobile Service (9 am – 6 pm)  Rates starting at $40.00 for the Lago Vista area.
Travel charge to meet you at a mutually agreed upon location for 30 minutes of service. This charge is separate from Texas Notary Fees.

Rush Surcharge (within 2 hours of scheduling)  – Additional $20.00 

Late Evening Surcharge (between 8pm – 11pm)  – Additional $20.00

Early Morning Surcharge (between 7am – 9am)  – Additional $25.00

Sunday Surcharge – Additional $25.00 

Holiday Surcharge – Additional $75.00  

Extended Appointment Time beyond 30 minutes at location – Additional $1/minute
Appointments for Standard Mobile Service are scheduled for 30 minutes. Appointments extending beyond the scheduled time will incur a $1 per minute surcharge.

Hospitals and Nursing Homes Surcharge – Additional $75

Jails and Detention Center Surcharge- Additional $125

Cancellation – Late – No Show – Unable to Notarize Fees

Cancellation charges are not statutory fees and are listed separately from Texas Notary Fees.

Customer Late Cancellation, No Show, Customer Failure to Complete Transaction, Proof of Identity Issue – $ Full Original Fee $
Cancellations made less than two hours from the scheduled appointment time will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the Notary/Form I-9 Verification/Signing Agent Service fees and the associated travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.

A customer who is a no-show to a scheduled appointment will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the Notary/Form I-9 Verification/Signing Agent Service fees and the associated travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.

Texas has specific identification requirements to all signing parties participating in a notarization transaction. Inability to complete a scheduled transaction, due to any signer identification issue (no valid identification credential issued by the federal government or any state government, containing their photograph and signature | inability to provide a credible identifying witness, etc.) will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the notary/Signing Agent Service  fees and the associated travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.

Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, unless otherwise noted on the estimate or invoice. The late arrival of a customer which prevents a transaction from completing within the scheduled time frame (and the appointment cannot be extended, due to other scheduled appointments) will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the notary/Signing Agent Service fees and the associated travel charges, as documented in the estimate or invoice.

Any scheduled transaction that fails to complete, due to the unwillingness or inability of a customer to complete the transaction (including not having qualified witnesses available, when required), will incur a cancellation charge equaling the full amount of the notary/service fee and the associated travel charge, as documented in the estimate or invoice.

Form I-9 Verification Fees

Form I-9 verification fees are not statutory fees and are listed separately from Texas notary fees.

Form I-9: Verification Service (electronic – includes image uploads)    $55.00
This is a non-notarial contracted service for electronic verification of an employee Form I-9 (including identification credential image uploads). Hill Country Mobile Notary serves as an authorized agent of the employer. (1) The agent receives an email from the employer with a link to their Form I-9 portal. (2) The agent meets the remote hire employee, physically examines the identification documents presented, ensuring the documents are acceptable in establishing both identity and employment authorization. (3) The agent records images of the identification credentials. (4) The agent returns to the office and accesses the employer portal, completing the Form I-9, Section 2 and uploads the identification images. A travel charge beyond the Lago Vista area is additional.

Form I-9: Verification Service (paper)     $45.00
This is a non-notarial contracted service. Hill Country Mobile Notary serves as an authorized agent of the employer.  (1) HCMN meets a remote hire employee to review Section One of their Form I-9 for completeness, (2) physically examines employee-provided identification documents, ensuring the documents are acceptable in establishing both identity and employment authorization, (3) completes Section Two of the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. Note: Unless otherwise instructed, the completed Form I-9 is returned to the employee.  Travel charge outside immediate area is additional.

Form I-9: Document Package Drop Off Fee (optional add-on service)    $ Variable $
This fee is for delivery of completed document packages to office location, UPS Store or FedEx Shipping Center for customer pre-paid overnight shipping. Shipping rates additional if applicable.

Remote Online Notarization (RON) (More information coming soon)

Online Notarization $25.00 per notarization. 
An Online Notarization, also known as a Webcam Notarization, Remote Online Notarization or RON, is an electronic notarization conducted over the Internet, where a remote signer personally appears before a specialized Texas Online Notary Public, using live audio-visual technology. The digital document is electronically signed and notarized, meeting the standards adopted under Subchapter C. Chapter 406 of the Texas Government Code and Texas Administrative Code § 87.41.

Signing Agent Fees

Real estate closing/loan signing package fees are not statutory fees and are listed separately from Texas Notary Fees.  $ Variable $

Please call for your quote today. Each real estate closing/loan signing is custom quoted, based on:

  • Scheduling and lead time
  • Total number of signers, including a non-borrowing spouse and any required witnesses
  • Representative capacity signers (attorney-in-fact for another individual, designated officer of an organization or legal entity, etc.)
  • Travel distance to the signing location
  • Conference room rental requirements (equity loans)
  • Timing of document delivery
  • Document package size
  • Printing requirements
  • Quantity and type of notarizations
  • Document scan back requirements
  • Completed document shipping requirements
  • Other unique transaction details.

Conference Room Rental Fee – $ Variable $
HELOC/Equity Cash Out Loan Signings. Per the Texas Constitution, these types of loan closings are required to be closed at the office of an attorney, lender, or title company. If a conference room rental is needed, this charge will apply once scheduled, whether or not the closing is completed.

Document Package Print Fee – $25 flat fee for up to 125 pages. Additional pages $0.25/page
Documents can be uploaded via our secure system and printed upon receipt of payment. This fee is charged whether or not a transaction is completed.

Document Scan Back Fee – $25 flat fee for up to 125 pages. Additional pages $0.25/page 

Document Package Drop Off Fee (optional add-on service)    $ Variable $
This fee is for delivery of completed document packages to office location, UPS Store or FedEx Shipping Center for customer pre-paid overnight shipping. Shipping rates additional if applicable. Generally included in typical Loan Signing, but if you need a courier for a package we did not complete for you, we’re happy to provide Courier service. Travel and delivery of completed document package to Title, Escrow, Mortgage Office, or FedEx Shipping Center or UPS Store for pre-paid overnight delivery.
